Can I bring my kids?
Our tours are designed for all ages; however, keep in mind that each tour is 1.5 to 2 hours long, with a total walking distance of 1.7 to 2.1 miles. Children 5 and under are free; however, please understand that the tour is for the enjoyment of all. We offer a discounted rate for children between 12 and 6. You will have to determine if your child will enjoy an outdoor walking tour, in varied conditions, and temperatures.
Are the tours handicap accessible?
Yes, we will be walking up and down city sidewalks and streets. All the streets and sidewalks in Denver are handicap accessible.
Can I cancel my tour and get a refund?
Due to the nature of our business, we do not issue refunds on tours. We will, however, be happy to reschedule your tour for a later date. In order to reschedule a tour, you must do so within 24 hours of your scheduled tour time. If you have to cancel a tour for any reason, we ask that you please contact us and let us know. Our tour guides will be looking for you; this will help prevent slowing down the start of the tour. We asked that you arrive 5 minutes before the tour is scheduled to start. We can not hold a tour for any longer than 5 minutes after the scheduled start time.
what is your inclement weather policy?
We operate our tours rain, snow, or shine. Due to the nature of our business we are unable to refund a tour, due to weather conditions; however, we will be happy to try to reschedule your tour on a later date. If for any reason Best Tours of Denver LLC is forced to cancel a tour for any reason, you will be issued a full refund.
Do your guides except tips?
Tips are never required; however, if you had a great time, and feel that your guide did an exceptional job, our tour guides do except tips.
How will I find my tour guide?
Our tour guides will meet you at the designated address for you particular tour, 5 minutes before the tour is scheduled to leave. Your guide will be wearing a shirt with the Best Tours of Denver Logo (See Below).
Where do I park?
There are paid parking lots, as well as meter parking all over the city. The meters vary limits from 2 to 5 hours. Most of the meters in Downtown have a 2 hour limit. None of our tours are are over 2 hours; however, watch your time limits closely, or you will get a ticket. All metered parking is free on Sunday’s and holidays. In the Capitol Hill neighborhood, you can find free parking on most of the neighborhood streets than run north and south. Sherman St. is the closest street to the meeting place for the Capitol Hill tour. WATCH STREET PARKING SIGNS VERY CAREFULLY. THE FIRST TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY AND FRIDAY OF EVERY MONTH ARE RESERVED FOR STREET SWEEPING. THE STREET SIGNS WILL GUIDE YOU. YOU WILL BE TICKETED IF YOU PARK ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE STREET ON THE WRONG DAY.
